General Information - Where and WhenThe Scientific Congress of Greek Medical Students is the most important, countrywide, annual event organised by the Scientific Association of Greek Medical Students (SAGMS). The 9th consecutive SCGMS takes place In the year 2003 in Athens, at the "Athinais" Congress Hall, from Friday, May 9 to Syunday, May 11, 2003. Papers - Scientific PartThe Congress includes presentations of papers on medical and paramedical subjects, by students, doctors and Professors. The basis of these papers can be personal research work or bibliographic review. The form of presentation varies and can be either an oral presentation (slides, video, computer-aided presentations -such as Powerpoint), a poster, a lecture (for particularly interesting subjects by special guests) or a discussion. The official language of the presentations is Greek. Foreign speakers may speak in English, and English slides may be included in the presentations. Satellite EventsDuring the SCGMS satellite events take place, events that promote the general idea of the Congress, and the purposes of the SAGMS, which are in brief the spirit of vulunteerism, the furthering of medical education, the tightening of bonds and relations between medical students both in Greece and abroad. The schedule of satellite events of the 9th SCGMS is not finalised yet, but will definitely include:
Registration for the Congress can be arranges at the local Divisions of SAGMS, and there is also the possibility to register during the congress (on-site) at the secretariat that will be operational. Hotel reservations are possible through the Organising Committee, at the local Divisions of SAGMS, or through "Triaena Tours and Congresses", the company we cooperate with in the organisation of the congress (www.triaenatours.gr). The Organising Committee can also provide for the transport of the participants. |
