As far as presentation is concerned, the basic types are the following:

  • Discussion: The presentation is made by students or doctors (5 people maximum) with a coordinating Professor of any rank. Total duration of presentation is 60 minutes+15 minutes for questions and remarks by the audience. This presentation form is reserved for subjects of particular general interest. If you are interested in presenting part of a discussion, you should contact the public relations responsible of a division of SCGMS.
  • Oral presentations/Announcements: Grouped according to subject in sessions coordinated by a member of the Scientific Committee, each presentation is independent of the others in the session and lasts for 6-10 minutes. After all presentations in the session, a short discussion may follow.
  • Posters: For each poster, there must be at least one medical student among the authors of the paper and at least one of the authors during the poster's exhibition (in the poster hall, for about 3 hours). Poster size should be less than 100cm width by 150cm height (different sizes can be arranged; contact the Organising Committee). The paper title should be readable from a distance of 2 meters by a person with 1,0 degrees myopia, and the text should be readable from a distance of 1m.

Please note the general guidelines for the number of slides you should have for these short-time oral presentations: the discussion coordinator reserves the right to interrupt a presentation that exceeds the time limit. Except for very rare cases, you should not exceed the number of 20 slides for a 10-minute presentation.
